A joyous children’s storytelling event with two delightful tales of Ananse, the original Spider-Man, brought to life by local author Lisa Levi.

Ananse, the trickster god from West Africa, traveled to the Caribbean and America, where he became a spider. Known for his wisdom, creativity, and mischievous adventures, no one is as smart as he is!

Come to the Mini Playhouse for a fun-filled children’s storytelling afternoon where Lisa will share tales of Ananse as he proves he’s the cleverest creature in the forest.

This storytime event is perfect for primary school-aged kids and welcomes families of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds.

More about Lisa..

Lisa Levi is a Caribbean born poet, author, playwright and storyteller, now living in 1066 country. Her children’s novel ‘Journey Up River’ is a part of The London Archives and she has worked with Theatre

Royale Stratford East in London, to produce short musical theatre pieces. She wrote a children’s play (Crick Crack) for Compagnie La Baroufada in St. Etienne, France. With LAB Productions and she has produced audio and video of her adult stories. Find out more at River Stories
